Can i have two pets together in the same hutch?

i have a 4 month old male french lop rabbit he was in with a male guinea pig at the pet shop but has been on his own with us now for around 7 weeks im worried that he will get lonely and was thing of either getting another rabbit or guinea to go in with him but am unsure if they will get on and which breeds would go best with a french lop?
