Mazda mx3 v6 has flat spot & missfire?

i have a mazda 1.8 v6 ive changed leads plugs .airflow & throttle position sensor . on reving it flat spot straight away but it appears that the spark weakens on no 1 cyl does anyone know why this might be & is the advance & retard mechanism in the distributor thanks mike .
