How do i learn the electric guitar?

my friend just sold me a squier strat, and a amp and i have no idea how to play. i tried youtube movie but they all suck. and i cant find any good websites plus i know no one who can teach me and no money for instructers. does anyone know a place where i can find some good lessons.
