Are there any similarities in breathing in space to any living organism on earth?

do you see here on earth how the life expectancy of a mosquito is not long or they can't survive in the cold. I was thinking since there so small their lungs couldn't absorb that air. So i believe since we are so small compared to space and the universe we cant breathe in space neither if we was as big as the universe would it be possible let me know what you think
