Help! I have a granite countertop in the bathroom, and spilled soap seems to have stained it? What to do?

There was a drip from the soap dispenser, and a soap drop sat on the countertop for several hours. I've been blotting it with water. Any suggestions? I'm not liking granite. Too many spots.
