How is the best way to apologise?!?

My best friends mum thinks me and her daughter are gay (which were not) we are 16 and 17. Her mum thinks we are gay because she asked my best friend was she gay and she said no and then had she asked had she tought about it and she said yes and her mum asked did she have feelings for me and she said possibly some :s so now her mum thinks we are both gay and has basically stopped us from seeing each other, wont let us stay at each others and we are only allowed an hour comunication a day. Well we went out last night and i said hi to her mum but she didnt hear me and then me and my best friend saw her talking to my mum and we thought they were talking about us but they said they wasnt! I was a bit of a b***h and i was funny with her mum all night and i want to appologise to her mum for that and i dont now how to do it, how can i do t please help me i need my best friend?
