What colors should I get on my hair???/?

I wanted tog et the salon to dye over my hair...its a reddish color was dark burgundy buit faded in like 2 washings to light red...I want it dark burgundy with highlights but I guess even if the salon did it it's still gonna fade fast and look not too good......so what other color could I have them put on it I do want highlights in it but unsure what base color to get??/
