Does using the eSATA socket work with a USB cable or do I have to go buy a cable specifically for eSATA socket?

I'm using the eSATA socket in conjunction with this external hard drive I plan on buying and am wondering if the USB cable is the same cord you use for the eSATA or if the cord required is one built specifically for the eSATA socket.
